Apple made some major announcements at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on Monday. But the company failed to mention one pretty cool update we think is worth mentioning — the Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad.
It's the same keyboard you're used to, only the updated version features an extended layout. It comes with its very own numeric keypad, additional function keys, bigger home and page up/page down buttons, and four full-size navigation arrow keys that'll make gaming a lot easier.
A scissor mechanism has been added beneath each key, which allows for increased stability. So the typing experience is just as good, if not better, than the older version.
If you do a lot of work with spreadsheets or finance applications, you'll notice the numeric keypad makes document navigation a lot more efficient. Also, the built-in, rechargeable battery will last for around a month or more between charges.
These updates may not seem like a big deal to someone who has never used a Magic Keyboard, but for those of you who have adopted the keyboard into your daily life — well, you get it.
The new keyboard is available now and will ship right away, which is always the best part of new Apple products.
