July has been a big month for Amazon. Last week, Amazon's Prime Day was its biggest sales day ever. And earlier this month, after a trademark was filed on July 6th, rumors started circulating that the company was putting together a meal kit program, similar to Blue Apron and Hello Fresh.
Well, Amazon is reportedly already selling its Meal Kits to Amazon Fresh customers, and it seems to be pretty popular, as a few of the dishes are sold out.
Each Meal Kit comes with ingredients for two or four people. The prices range from $19.99 to $24 for a two-person kit and $38 for a four-person kit, which ends up being around $9 to $12 per serving. The pricing is comparable to Blue Apron, which costs $9.99 per serving.
There are currently 19 meals available, including "Roasted Sausage and Peppers," "BBQ Chicken and Grits," "Smokey Carne Asada Street Tacos," and "Lemongrass Belly Pad Thai."
