Glow is a smart energy tracker for your home that will help you better manage your energy usage. It can help lower your electric bills and make a big environmental difference, so yeah, we're pretty into it.
If someone in your home forgets to turn the lights off on the regular (not you, of course), or if you have any inefficient appliances that are using way too much energy, Glow will let you know.
Currently a Kickstarter campaign, Glow uses magneto-resistive sensing technology to wirelessly measure your home's electricity usage. The information gathered is then sent to the in-home display unit that changes color to let you how much energy is being used.
It's basically a fitness tracker for your home.
According to Glow, about 40% of electricity consumed goes to waste. As you are probably well aware, that can get pretty expensive. Over $500 each year is wasted in the average home!

Glow helps you see energy use as it happens so you can do something about it before it gets too out of control. You can even tell Glow how much you want to spend each month, and it'll help you stay on track.
Connect to the Glow app to receive alerts. Like, lets say you left the oven on or the air conditioning running — you can check the app to see if you need to run home to turn them off. And if there's abnormal usage going on, notifications will alert you so you don't get any surprises on your electricity bill.
