Kids can never have enough toys, right? Well, at least the kind of toys they make themselves — which they can do with a really cool new device currently being funded on Indiegogo.
Toybox is a 3D printer made specifically for kids. It's an easy-to-use, one-touch printer that kids use to design and print their own toys. So, it's basically a high tech, DIY Santa Claus.
With the press of a button, kids (OK, adults too) can print any toy they want from a digital catalog with over 500 toy options.
Or they can come up with their own ideas and design them in the app to bring their creations to life. Creations are stored on the cloud for easy access.
Advanced technology allows for fast, high-res 3D printing with precision detail. The toys can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to print, depending on the intricacy level. Each roll of ink makes 100-300 toys.
All materials used are non toxic, completely kid-friendly, and make no mess at all. And the best part of all, there's no adult supervision needed.
For delivery in December or January, you can preorder your Toybox here. Prices range from $249 to $325, and an extra 4-pack of ink is $34.
