Working on a container ship that sails the ocean for months at a time probably gets mundane when your only view is of the open water... and of cargo. YouTube user JeffHK took a stunning video through his timelapse camera that makes life at sea seem incredibly serene.
Video of the Day
Over 30 days at sea, Jeff captured around 80,000 photos from the ship's route through the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Indian Ocean, Colombo, Malacca Strait, Singapore, the South East China Sea, and Hong Kong. All of the footage was shot on a Nikon D750 camera with a 12mm, f/2.8 Rokinon lens, and was condensed into a 10 minute, 4K timelapse.
The footage is stunning and mesmerizing, and it'll give you a greater appreciation for how small we really are.
