Pampers Announced a Smart Diaper, and You Probably Don't Need It

Babies don't do much. The eat, sleep, pee, poop, and cry. But one thing they are very good at is letting you know when they're unhappy. When they have a dirty diaper, you're likely going to hear about it.

With that being said, a smart diaper doesn't seem like the most necessary purchase, but it's still a pretty cool new invention by Pampers. The Lumi by Pampers System is the "world's first all-in-one Connected Care System" that tracks your baby's wet diapers and sleep, which ultimately is supposed to make your life a little easier.

An activity sensor is built into the diaper, which lets you know when there's urine in the diaper. It works with a corresponding app that tracks wetness and identifies patterns to help you learn more about your baby's needs.

The system comes with a video baby monitor and a 10-day supply of diapers, and you can purchase additional packs of Lumi by Pamper diapers separately. Pricing hasn't been announced.

So, if you aren't into physically checking your baby's diaper to determine if it's wet, maybe the smart diaper is for you.
