In a sea of bad news, here's some good. The original cast of BBC America's Orphan Black is reuniting for a two-episode virtual table read. So, dust off your Clone Club membership cards, because the sestras are back.
The cast will read episodes 106 and 107 of the show's first season. Several cast members are confirmed to attend (from their homes), including Tatiana Maslany as Alison, Cosima, Sarah and Helena; Maria Doyle Kennedy as Mrs. S; Jordan Gavaris as Felix; Kristian Bruun as Donnie; Kevin Hanchard as Detective Art Bell; Dylan Bruce as Paul; Evelyne Brochu as Dr. Delphine Cormier; Josh Vokey as Scott; Michael Mando as Vic; Inga Cadranel as Detective Angela DeAngelis; Eric Johnson as Chad Norris; Natalie Lisinska as Ainsley; and Kathryn Alexandre acting double; as well as co-creators, Graeme Manson and John Fawcett, executive producer Kerry Appleyard, writer Will Pascoe, and co-producer Mackenzie Donaldson.
The charity table read will benefit LGBT CenterLink, the community of LGBT centers; and Sistering, an agency for at-risk, socially isolated women and trans people in Toronto who are homeless or precariously housed. The reunion coincides with Mental Health Awareness month in May and International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia on May 17th. The intention is to raise money for those who are disproportionately affected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
