If you haven't heard, LeBron James is starring in Space Jam: A New Legacy. The movie is a new take on the original Space Jam starring Michael Jordan, which came out 24 years ago (feel old yet?). It's based on the same concept of a live-action NBA player getting mixed up in an animated world filled with popular Looney Tunes characters. Of course, not just any NBA player — now the two most famous basketball stars of their time.
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, the new movie follows James and his son Dom, who dreams of being a video game developer, as they get caught in a virtual space thanks to a rogue algorithm named Al-G Rhythm. To save his son and return home, James and an unruly group of Looney Tunes (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Lola Bunny, Porky Pig, and more) must defeat AI's digital champions The Goon Squad on the court.
The rest of the cast includes NBA players Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, and Anthony Davis, as well as Jim Carrey, Sonequa Martin-Green, Don Cheadle, and Zendaya.
