The teaser trailer for the upcoming "Super Mario Bros." movie is out, finally giving us a look at what the world of the Mushroom Kingdom looks like — and it's much, much different than the 1993 live-action Super Mario Bros. film. This one's animated and looks to be a lot less... weird.
The clip opens with Bowser (voiced by Jack Black) wreaking havoc on the penguin kingdom as he searches for an invisibility star. Who better to help than you know who. Mario (played by Chris Pratt, much to the internet's dismay) makes an abrupt entrance into the Mushroom Kingdom, which he seems very surprised by. Right away he meets Toad (Keegan-Michael Key), and together they head off to save the day. We also get a glimpse of Luigi (Charlie Day) in a whole lot of trouble.

The film also stars "The Queen's Gambit's" Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong among others. "Super Mario Bros." is will hit theaters April 7, 2023.
