How Do I Copy Pictures to a Flash Drive?
Flash drives have a USB (Universal Serial Bus) interface that permits their fast connection to a computer. Such drives are commonly used for file transferring between computers. Windows Explorer provides simple commands that allow a user to copy image files from the computer hard disk to a flash drive.

- Flash drive
Place a flash drive into an available USB port of your computer.
Click on "My Computer" (in Windows XP) or "Computer" (in Windows Vista/7) from the Start menu in Windows. This will open Windows Explorer.
Double-click on the drive icon (for instance, the "C" drive) in Windows Explorer. Then double-click on a folder that contains pictures.
Click on a picture file you need to copy. To make multiple selections, hold "Ctrl" on the keyboard and click on each image.
Press "Ctrl" + "C" on the keyboard.
Repeat Step 2 to open the second instance of Windows Explorer.
Click on the flash drive icon.
Press "Ctrl" + "V" on the keyboard to copy the selected files to the flash drive.
