How do I Download YouTube Videos to a Powerpoint Slide?
Using video and photos in a PowerPoint presentation generates interest from the audience. YouTube is the repository for an enormous amount of video clips. Adding a video clip to your slideshow further enhances your presentation. Before a video is added to a slideshow, that video must be downloaded from YouTube to your computer. Third-party software is required to do this. There are several freeware YouTube plug-ins available on CNET.
Download a YouTube Plug-In Wizard
Go to the CNET website to download a free YouTube plug-in.
Type the word YouTube into the search box.
Choose a plug-in such as YouTube Downloader, 1-Click YouTube Downloader or VideoSlurp YouTube Downloader. Click the Download button.
Go to YouTube and open the video that you want to add to your PowerPoint slide. Copy and paste the URL to the video.
Open your YouTube plug-in software. Enter the video URL into the program. Choose a download destination folder. Click the option to Download.

Open the Microsoft PowerPoint slide where you want the video.
Click Insert from the top menu bar. Choose Movie and then Movie from File.
Find your YouTube video on your computer. It is located in the file you designated as your download destination folder.
Select how you want the movie to start: -- automatically or when clicked.
Re-size the video and drag it to the correct location on the slide.
