How Do I Turn Add-ons Back on for Internet Explorer?

By Si Kingston

Internet Explorer now offers add-ons that let users have a more customized browsing experience. Theese add-ons offer users quick access to their favorite websites and reference materials, shorten the process of adding new material to their blogs on LiveJournal, and much more. Users can also turn add-ons on and off by clicking the "x" next to each one. The add-on then becomes hidden from view so it doesn't continue to take up space in the toolbar. If you've turned one off, turning it back on is easy.

Step 1

Open Internet Explorer and go to the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen.

Step 2

Select "Manage Add-ons."

Step 3

Browse the add-ons you have downloaded to your browser by "Add-on Type." For example, if you are looking to turn the "Blog with Windows Live Spaces" back on, it would be under the "Accelerator" type.

Step 4

Select the add-on you want to turn back on.

Step 5

Select the "Enable" button at the bottom of your "Manage Add-ons" window.
