How to Access All Channels on Vizio

By Nina Nixon

At times, you may notice that some broadcast stations are missing on your Vizio TV. This could occur if an electrical outage lasted for a few hours before power was restored. If you had recently set your TV up in another location, the signals could also be lost. Bad weather conditions will cause this problem too. An easy way to access all channels -- both analog and digital -- is just a broadcast signal away.

Step 1

Press the "Enter" button on the remote control.

Step 2

Press the "Right Vol" arrow button to open the "TV Tuner Setup" menu.

Step 3

Press the "Ch Down" arrow button and highlight "Auto Search."

Step 4

Press the "Right Vol" arrow button to start the scan.

Step 5

Wait until the scan has finished and then press the "Last" button repeatedly to bypass other menu screens and exit. If you still cannot access all channels, go to the next step.

Step 6

Repeat Steps 1 and 2, and then press the "Ch Down" arrow button and select "Partial Channel Search." Press the "Vol Right" arrow button twice and select "Analog/Digital," "Digital," or "Analog." Press the "Ch Down" arrow button and highlight "To" and "From." Press the "Right Vol" arrow button and select the channel number range, and then press the "Enter" button to start the partial channel search. Wait until the scan has finished, and then press the "Last" button repeatedly to bypass other menu screens and exit.

Tips & Warnings

  • Although you can access all channels, you may want to skip the ones that display extremely weak signals. Tune to the channel you want to skip, and then press the "Enter" button on the remote control. Press the "Right Vol" arrow button, and then press the "Ch Down" arrow button and highlight "Skip Channel." Press the "Vol Right" arrow button to select the channel. Following this process, the channel will not be available when you press the "Ch Up/Down" arrow buttons. You can still reselect it manually by pressing the remote control number buttons.
