How to Access the Router Settings on a NETGEAR Wireless-N 300

The NETGEAR Wireless-N 300 is a consumer-grade Wi-Fi router that features advanced parental control protection; WEP, WPA2-PSK and WPA-PSK password encryption options; four Ethernet connection ports and 802.11n/g/b wireless protocol compatibility. The NETGEAR Wireless-N 300 includes resource software for Windows, Macintosh, UNIX and Linux-based computer systems. The router's internal memory contains several user-configurable options which are accessible through a connected computer's Internet browser. Step 1

Turn on the network-connected computer and allow the operating system to load. Turn on the router.

Step 2

Open your computer's Internet browser.

Step 3

Type "http://www.routerlogin.net" into the Web browser's address bar.

Step 4

Enter the required user name and password when prompted. If you have not previously set up a unique user name and password for the router, enter "admin" in the user name field and "password" in the password field. Click on the "OK" button to enter the router settings menu.
