How to Add a Website to a Mac Desktop
If you have a number of websites you visit regularly, it may be convenient to add direct links for them to your desktop. This is easy to do on a Mac. The specifics may be slightly different depending on which browser and operating system you are using, but the differences are minor.
Launch your Internet browser.
Go to the website you want to add to your desktop.
Select the entire URL from the address bar, then drag and drop it onto the desktop. An icon will appear that takes you directly to that site when clicked.
Drag and drop the icon to the left of the URL instead of the text if Step 3 doesn't work.
