How to Add Icons to an Email Signature
Email signatures are a useful tool for personalizing your emails with a favorite quote, your work office's contact info or even to advertise a business, website or financial opportunity. Some email providers, such as Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail, also allow you to insert icons and images into your email signature, making them more attractive and more visible.
Log in into your Yahoo email and click on "Options" in the top right corner.
Select "Mail Options" from the drop-down menu.
Click on the "Signature" option in the left column.
To activate the text box, click "Show a signature on all outgoing messages." Click "Rich Text" so you can use different text colors, sizes and fonts as well as smileys and HTML.
To set an image as your signature icon, insert the following HTML code: . The link to your image or icon must be inserted between the quotation marks (example: ). To get the link, right-click on the image and scroll down to "Copy Image Location."
Click "Save Changes" in the upper left corner.
Click on the "Write Mail" icon. Click "Signatures" from the bottom-right corner of the email page and select "Set Up Signatures."
Select "Create" from the options listed along the bottom of the text box.
Create a signature using the font and smiley options, or insert an image using HTML.
To insert an image from a file, click the camera icon just above the text box. Double-click on the image file you would like to use as an icon.
Click "OK" to save. Click "Default On/Off" to activate your email signature and make it appear in outgoing emails. The signature is on when the red check icon appears next to it.
Click on "Options" in the top-right corner of your account screen. Select "More Options" from the drop-down menu.
Under the category "Customize Your Mail," click on "Personal Email Signature."
To insert an image, click the "Text" box at the end of the menu and scroll down to "Edit in HTML." Use the HTML code to insert an image as your icon and hit save.
