How to Adjust the Brightness on a Dell Laptop

By Jason Artman

The screen of a laptop computer is typically one of the most battery-draining components. People demand bright screens that are readable in most lighting conditions and laptop manufacturers strive to deliver. Dell's laptops are no exception. However, like most manufacturers, Dell provides a way for you to adjust the brightness of your laptop screen, allowing you to dim the display to conserve battery power when needed. Additionally, you can change the screen brightness in Windows if you want the computer to dim the screen automatically when the computer is disconnected from a power outlet.
