How to Align Text for iWork Pages
In iWork Pages, a word processing application from Apple, you can set the alignment of text vertically or horizontally. Vertical alignment affects the alignment of text in a text box, in a cell of a table or in a shape. Horizontal alignment affects the alignment of text in a column, in a cell of a table, in a text box or in a shape.
Click on the text box, cell, column or shape that contains the text you want to align.
Click the "Inspector" icon at the top of the Pages window. Open the Text Inspector tab by clicking the "T" icon.
Click one of the three buttons for vertical text alignment. These buttons use arrows and a line to represent text aligned to the top, middle or bottom of the text box, cell or shape.
Click one of the five buttons for horizontal text alignment. These buttons use lines of text to represent text that is aligned to the left, centered, aligned to the right, justified. The fifth button is only available for table cells and automatically left-justifies the text and right-justifies the numbers in a cell.
