How to Attach a PDF File to Word 2007 Document

Word 2007 is a version of the popular word processing program from Microsoft that was released in 2006. Designed for both home and business use, Word has a wide variety of document editing features. In addition to standard text editing, Word 2007 users may insert images and objects. One type of object that may be attached to into a document is a Portable Document Format file. You can attach a PDF file to a Word 2007 document.

Step

Launch the Word document to which you want to attach a PDF file. Click the Microsoft “Office” button and select “Open.” Use the drop-down arrows in the navigation field to find the folder in which the Word document is saved. Double-click the file name.

Locate the “Insert” tab. In the Text section, click the “Object” option. This action will launch a separate window. In the “Object type” section, highlight the “Adobe Acrobat Document” option. Please note that this selection applies to all PDF files, not just Adobe Acrobat ones. Click the “OK” button. This action will launch a separate window.

Use the drop-down arrows in the navigation field to find the folder in which the PDF file is saved. Double-click the file name to attach the PDF file to the Word 2007 document.
