How to Attach Multiple Files to an Email

Sending emails is enhanced when you include attachments to the email. Attachments can illustrate the point you are making in the email or give the recipient additional information. When sending attachments, be warned that some email clients restrict the size of the attachments that are being received. This means if you send a file that is too large, it may cause the email to be rejected or bounced from the recipient's mailbox.

Step 1

Send multiple files by using the attachment feature with your email client. In Outlook, you can select the attachments individually or use the control key to select them as a group.Start a new email message by opening Outlook. Click "New" from the menu bar. Click the "Attach Files" button. Browse your computer for the files you want to select. To select multiple files, hold down the "Control" key as you select the files. Click "Insert."

Step 2

Send multiple files by using the paperclip attachment icon.Open your Gmail email account and start a new email message by clicking the "Compose Mail" hyperlink. Select the "Attach A File" button and browse your computer for the files you want to attach. Select multiple files by holding down the "Control" key and selecting each file you want to attach. Click "Open." The files will download into your email.

Step 3

Send multiple files by using the attach button on your Yahoo! account email. Open your Yahoo email account and start a new email message by clicking the "New" button. Select the "Attach" button and browse your computer for the files you want to attach. Select multiple files by holding down the "Control" key and selecting each file you want to attach. Click "Open." The files will download into your email.
