How to Block an Incoming SMS on Android
Third-party developers have created apps for Google's Android operating system that enable users to increase the functionality of their device for free. One application, Blacklist, allows you to block messages and calls from specific numbers. Handcent SMS, another free app, expands on Android's stock message system with themes and new features, like the ability to block SMS. However, neither app completely blocks messaging however. Instead, they remove notifications and hide or remove the messages so you do not see them. The messages will still be considered received by your carrier with applicable charges if you do not have an unlimited messaging plan. The only way to fully block a number is through your carrier.
