How to Block Friend's Likes on Facebook
Facebook allows you to connect with others who share you interests and causes. But almost everyone has that one friend who "likes" everything that the social networking site has to offer and showers your Facebook inbox with game requests and interest pages. If you don't feel comfortable removing or blocking your enthusiastic friends from your Facebook, you can at least block her likes and pages so you aren't alerted each time she plays Mafia Wars.
Sign into your Facebook account and allow your Facebook homepage to load. Click link at the top of the page to change your view from "Top News" to "Most Recent," so you can clearly see the last few times a friend has liked a page or you've received notification of her activities on Facebook.
Scroll down the page until you see a notification from that particular friend. When your friend likes a page or joins a game, certain activities, like wall postings or game levels may be posted on your news feed.
Hover your cursor over the notification, to the right-hand side. A small "x" will appear. Click the "x" and you'll receive several options, such as "Hide Post," "Hide all Posts from the User" and "Hide All Posts from" with the name of the like or publisher available. Click the last option to hide all posts from the game, like or publisher for that particular notification.
Repeat the process each time you see a notification from a different publisher appear on your feed. Since the process only blocks notification from a specific like, page or publisher, you'll need to do the same each time you see notifications from another publisher.
