How to Block Phone Numbers on Comcast Digital Voice

By Patrice D. Wimbush

Comcast offers several features that allow you to choose which calls you answer. You can block up to 12 telephone numbers with the call screening feature. Anonymous call rejection restricts calls from numbers masked as "anonymous" and "private." You can also block caller ID before placing an outgoing call. With the exception of the 900, 976, 700 and 500-number call blocks, you can enable and disable each feature using your personal telephone.

Call Screening via Telephone

Step 1

Pick up the receiver, and make sure you hear a dial tone.

Step 2

Enter "*60" using your phone keypad. Follow the voice prompts to add, remove or confirm the numbers on your list.

Step 3

Deactivate this feature by picking up the phone, checking for dial tone and entering "*80." Push "3" to disable call screening.
