How to Change a Document Size in Word

Microsoft Office Word 2007 has easy tools to use to change the size of your document. Documents can be designed to fit any size paper. There are many standard sizes built in to the program. Letter size, legal size, postcard size and half-page size are just a few of the built-in options. You can also customize a document size to your specific needs.

Things You'll Need

  • Microsoft Office Word 2007

Step 1

Open Microsoft Word 2007. A blank page will open on default when opening the program.

Step 2

Click on the "Page Layout" tab on the top. A list of options will then appear.

Step 3

Click on the drop-down box next to "Size."

Step 4

Choose the appropriate size paper for your document. The view on your screen will then change to the size you selected.
