The method for changing your PayPal password varies somewhat depending on whether you know your existing password. If you know your password, log in to your account and change it through the Profile screen. If you don’t know it or the email address associated with your account, use PayPal’s account reset tools.
If You Know Your Current Password
Step 1: Log in to your PayPal account using your current password and click the Profile icon to load your profile.
Step 2: Click the Security tab.
Step 3: Click the Edit link located next to the Password heading.
Step 4: Enter your existing password, your new password twice, and then click the Change Password button to apply your changes.
If You Don't Know Your Current Password
Step 1: Click the question mark icon at the end of the Password field on the login screen.
Step 2: Enter the email address associated with your account, input the security code and click Continue.
Step 3: Open your email account, click the password reset email from PayPal and follow the prompts to select a new password.
If You Can't Remember Your Email
If you don’t know which email address you used to sign up for PayPal, click the question mark icon at the end of the Email field on the PayPal home page and then select I Don’t Know What Email Address I Used. Enter three possible emails and PayPal will check to see if any of them is registered.
