How to Change an Expired Password in OWA
Outlook Web Access (OWA) allows you to access your email using a web browser. The software is set up by your institution, and it gives you a window that looks similar to the regular desktop version of Outlook. If your password expires, you must change it the next time you log in to the system. This can be done in the password account settings in the OWA web browser window.
Open your web browser and type the address of your OWA server into the address text box. Press "Enter" to open a login screen.
Type your OWA user name and current password for the account. This logs you in, but it notifies you that you need to change the expired password.
Click the "Options" button on the left side of the window. Scroll down to the "Password" section in the center detail pane.
Click "Change Password." This displays the account name and the text boxes where you type a new password. Type your password into the first text box and type it again into the confirmation text box. Click "OK" to save your changes.
