How to Change Home Page Settings

A home page is the default page of your Web browser. It's either a blank page or a Web page. Changing your home page settings is quite easy and only takes a few seconds. Having may help productivity or remind you of certain events.

Step 1

Double click on your Internet browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Step 2

Type in the Web page address that you would like to become your home page into into the address bar at the top of your browser. Press "Enter." Skip this step if you would like to make your home page a blank page.

Step 3

Click "Tools" on your Web browser's toolbar if you use Internet Explorer. Select "Internet Options" and click "Use Current". Select "OK" or Apply" and exit out of the screen. This sets the current Web page you have open to your home page. Click "Tools" on your Web browser's toolbar, select "Options" and click "Use Blank." Select "OK" or Apply" and exit out of the screen. This sets your home page to a blank page.

Step 4

Click "Tools" on the menu bar if you are a Mozilla Firefox user. Select "Options" and click "Use Current" or "Use Blank." Click "OK" and exit the screen. Clicking "Use Current" sets your homepage to the current Web page, clicking "Use Blank" sets your Web browser to a blank page.

Step 5

Click on "Edit" if you have Safari. Select "Preferences." Select "Use Current" and a box should pop up asking if you would like to change your home page, click "Change Home Page." This sets your homepage to the current Web page you have open.
