How to Change IP Addresses
Your IP address is a series of numbers that identify your specific computer on the Internet. If, for some reason, you want to change your IP address, you can do so without going into the command prompt.
Things You'll Need
Click "Start," "Control Panel," "Network and Internet" and "Network and Sharing Center."
Click "Change adapter settings."
Right-click the network you want to change and click "Properties."
Click the "Networking" tab.
Put a check either next to Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) or Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click "Properties."
Click the radio button next to Obtain an IP Address Automatically if you want Windows to assign one, or click "Use the following IP address" to manually change it. Enter the requested information and click "OK."
