How To Change MP4 Format to MP3

By Jason Spidle

The MP4 file format is a popular multimedia file format used with audio and video. Many streaming video sites, including YouTube, display videos using the MP4 format due to its high quality and relatively small file size. Converting an MP4 file to MP3 will strip the video content from the file container, leaving you with the audio portion of the file. This is a useful conversion if you wish to transcode a music video to a straight audio file.
