How to Change PayPal Password

Secure your PayPal account from unauthorized users by periodically changing your account password. Changing passwords regularly to your important accounts is a good cyber habit to cultivate. If you suspect your PayPal account has been compromised, immediately log in and change your password, even before you contact PayPal about the matter.

Step 1

Log in to your PayPal account.

Step 2

Click the "My Account" tab and choose "Profile." Select "More Options" from the drop-down menu.

Step 3

Click "Change" next to the Password listing.

Step 4

Click the button next to "Password" and click "Edit" to continue the procedure.

Step 5

Answer the questions PayPal asks you to confirm that you are the owner of the account. Click "Submit."

Step 6

Change your password by entering the current password and the new one in the boxes provided. Re-enter the new password and click "Save."
