How to Change the Email Addresses in an Apple iPod Touch

Keep the email account information on your iPod Touch current to get the most out of the device's capabilities. You can change the email addresses associated with the iPod Touch Mail app by editing your mail preferences in the settings menu. Remove any unneeded addresses and add new email accounts to the device to change the Mail settings.

Delete Email Accounts

Step 1

Tap the "Settings" icon on the iPod Touch home screen.

Step 2

Select the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" tab from the settings menu. The new screen loads displaying the device's mail, contacts and calendar information.

Step 3

Locate the "Accounts" section at the top of the screen. Select an email address you want to remove from the device.

Step 4

Tap "Delete Account" at the bottom of the screen. Tap the "Delete Account" button again when the confirmation prompt appears to remove the account from the iPod Touch.

Add Email Accounts

Step 1

Select the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" tab from the main settings menu.

Step 2

Tap the "Add Account" button in the Accounts section of the screen to display a list of email service providers. Some options include Google, Yahoo, Outlook.com, Exchange and Aol. Select an email service from the list. Select the "Other" option if your email service is not listed on the email service options page. Then tap "Add Mail Account" button.

Step 3

Fill out the form with the information requested. Fields include "Name," "Email" and "Password."

Step 4

Tap the "Save" button to save the account to the device.
