How to Change Your Default Search Provider in IE8

By Techwalla Contributor

Internet Explorer 8 includes a search box to the right of the address bar. Entering a term in the box and pressing "Enter" will search using your preferred search engine. By default the search engine is set to Bing. However, you can change this setting to any search engine you want to use. This lets you customize the browser for the way you prefer to surf and the search engine that works best for you.

Step 1

Open the "Start" menu and click on the "Internet Explorer" shortcut. Click the down-arrow next to the search box.
