How to Check BIOS on an XPS Laptop

The XPS line of computers are a series of computers produced by the Dell computer company targeted towards gamers and people who need a high-end computer. If you have one of these computers and need to enter the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) of the computer when the computer starts, it's easy to do. You only have to know what key to press when the computer boots.

Step 1

Start or restart your computer and wait for the Dell splash screen to appear.

Step 2

Tap the DEL key a few times to ensure that the computer receives the command to enter the BIOS.

Step 3

Check what settings you need to inside the BIOS screen and then press the ESC key to exit the BIOS.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your computer does not enter the BIOS when you press the DEL key, carefully watch the splash screen when you start the computer for the key that enters the BIOS will be displayed on the screen. The label for this key is usually something like "Enter Setup."
