How to Check Email on the iPad

The iPad is a tablet computer capable of playing music and videos, as well as running a variety of unique applications. One feature of the iPad is its ability to send and receive email using its owner's existing email accounts. If you're new to the iPad, setting up your email on the device is easy to do.

Step 1

Tap the "Settings" button on your iPad home screen and then select "Mail, Contacts, Calenders" from the options that appear.

Step 2

Click "Add an Account" and then select the type of email account you have from the list of options.

Step 3

Enter the requested information about your email account such as your username and password.

Step 4

Click the "Save" button on the top right-hand side of the screen to save your account.

Step 5

Press the "Home" button in order to exit back to your iPad's home screen. Tap the "Email" icon to check the email from the accounts you've set up.
