How to Clean an iPod Touch Screen

By Andrew Smith

Fingertip smudges as well as dirt, dust and other particles will eventually accumulate on the screen of your iPod Touch. Water and other cleaning products may possibly remove this detritus, but could also damage your device. Similarly, the wrong type of cloth could scratch your screen. Only a special LCD cleaning kit can effectively and safely clean the screen of your iPod Touch.

Things You'll Need

  • LCD screen cleaning kit

Step 1

Purchase a cleaning kit for LCD TV screens. These kits contain a dusting brush, cleaning liquid and a microfiber cloth.

Step 2

Brush the screen gently using the dusting brush.

Step 3

Fold the microfiber cloth in half.

Step 4

Spray the cleaning solution on one half of the microfiber cloth. Don't spray the cleaner directly on the screen.

Step 5

Wipe the screen gently with the dampened cloth.

Step 6

Turn the microfiber cloth around and wipe the screen with the dry side of the cloth.

Step 7

Repeat as necessary to thoroughly clean the screen.
