How to Connect a CD Player to an LCD TV

There are so many different types of electronics that people want to connect to their televisions including DVD players, Blu-Ray players, video game consoles, stereo receivers, cable boxes and even CD players. LCD, or liquid crystal digital, televisions are a common type of high-definition flat screen television. It is possible to connect your CD player to your LCD TV to play music through your television speakers.

Step

Turn off both your television and your CD player.

Step

Connect the audio jacks of the RCA cable into the output slots of your CD player. An RCA cable is usually tri-colored: red, white and yellow. The red and white jacks of the cable are used for connecting audio. Plug the red and white RCA jacks into the red and white output slots of the CD player.

Step

Connect the other end of the RCA cable into the input slots of your LCD television. Most LCD televisions have more than one input jack. Be sure to remember which input jack you have plugged your CD player into.

Step

Turn on both your CD player and your television. On your television, select the input you have plugged your CD player into. You can use your controller to scroll through the various inputs.

Step

Insert a CD and play it on your CD player. The sound should be heard from the speakers of your LCD TV.
