How to Connect a Cordless Mouse

By braniac

Knowing how to connect a Logitech cordless mouse will save you some time. If you do not connect the mouse the way you should, chances are it will not work correctly and you will find yourself with a mouse that does not move around on your screen. The cordless mouse is great for those who need a little more freedom and less wires coming and going from the computer to the desk. These mice are also great for laptops if you do not want to use the built in mouse.

Step 1

Coedless Mouse and the LaptopTake the cordless mouse and turn it over. Here you will find a flash drive looking object. This is the USB port connector. Remove it by pulling out on the widest end.

Step 2

Plug the USB flash into any available port on the laptop. The light on the USB flash should light up signaling that the flash is working.

Step 3

Place your hand on the mouse and move the cursor around the screen. You should have movement right away. There is no reason to change anything on the laptop. Once the USB flash is plugged in to the laptop, it terminates the pad on the laptop. When you unplug the mouse, your pad takes over again.
