How to Connect an iPhone to My Wi-Fi Server

Apple's iPhone utilizes the 3G network to give you access to the Internet nearly everywhere you go. Even with that convenience, you may prefer to connect to your Wi-Fi from time to time. Connecting to Wi-Fi may help your Internet run faster and may improve the performance of some of your apps. Connecting to Wi-Fi is sometimes required for large file transfers and downloads. You can connect to Wi-Fi quickly and easily from your iPhone.

Step 1

Tap "Settings" from your Home screen.

Step 2

Tap "Wi-Fi" from your Settings screen.

Step 3

Tap "On/Off" to turn on your Wi-Fi capabilities.

Step 4

Tap the name of your network from the list of available networks.

Step 5

Type in the password for your Wi-Fi network if you are prompted to do so. If your network requires a password, a lock symbol will be pictured to the right of the network's name.
