How to Convert Keynote Files to PPT
If you have a Keynote file that you are attempting to open on a Windows-based PC, you may be disheartened to see that it will not open. Apple Keynote files must be converted to a PowerPoint, or PPT, before they can be opened on a PC or Windows-based device. The conversion process takes seconds and the finished file can be emailed, transferred or burned to a CD, which can be installed on a PC.
Open the Keynote software and click "Export" under the File menu.
Change the finished Keynote document to PPT using the drop-down menu available at the top of the screen. Click "Next."
Choose the destination you would like the file to be saved. Name the document a different name than the Keynote document so you will know the PPT document from the Keynote.
Click "Export" and the file will undergo a conversion process. The file will then be a PPT, which can be opened using PowerPoint.
