How to Convert LDIF to vCard

By Suman Medda

LDIF stands for LDAP Data Interchange Format. It is a file type that can be read by text editors, but it is used specifically by Mozilla Address Book. A vCard file, or VCF, is an electronic version of a business card. It is most commonly sent with emails and other forms of electronic communication. It contains information such as a user's phone number and email address. It is beneficial to convert LDIF files to vCard files, as vCard files are more widely compatible.

Step 1

Open a Web browser and navigate to the LDIF-to-vCard conversion site. A link is provided in the References section.

Step 2

Press the "Choose File" button. Navigate to the LDIF file and double-click on it to select it.

Step 3

Press the "Submit" button. A vCard version of the file will automatically download.
