How to Convert MDS to ISO

By Joshua Bailey

An ISO file is an exact image of a physical disk. This could be a DVD/CD or even a hard drive. It can also be a group of files or folders that the ISO is created from. There are many software options that will help you convert and MDS file into an ISO.

Things You'll Need

  • Imgburn
  • Nero
  • Magic ISO Maker

Step 1

Download one of the three programs located in the resource section of this guide. You have the choice of Imgburn, Nero and Magic ISO Maker. All of them work equally well.

Step 2

Open Imgburn and click "Create image file from files/folders." Click the "Browse" button and a new window will appear. Select your MDS file that you want to make the ISO from and click "OK." Click the "Destination" button and select a place to save the ISO file. Click the green arrow to create the ISO file.

Step 3

Open Nero and click "Data Burning" from the Nero main menu. Click the destination dropdown menu and select "Image Recorder" from the menu that appears. Click the "Browse" button and select a place to save the ISO file. Click the "Add" button and select your MDS file from the window that appears. Click "Burn" to create the ISO file.

Step 4

Open Magic ISO Maker and you will see a file browser on the main program screen. Select the MDS file that you want to create the ISO file from. Click the "Save" button and select a place to save the ISO file. Click "OK" to create the ISO file.
