How to Convert MP3 Format to Play on Standard CD Players

An audio CD that can be played in a standard CD player can be created by burning your mp3 collection to a blank audio CD. There are many programs available that can burn mp3 files to an audio CD. One type of program that you can use is a free program called Free Easy CD DVD Burner. You can start converting your mp3 files as soon as you have the program installed on your computer system.

Things You'll Need

  • Free Easy CD DVD Burner
  • Blank audio CD

Step 1

Download Free Easy CD DVD Burner and save the file to your Local Disk C. Double-click the setup file to install the program.

Step 2

Double-click the “Free Easy Burner” icon on the desktop to open the program.

Step 3

Insert a blank audio CD into the drive on your computer.

Step 4

Click the “Audio CD” button at the top of the window to burn an audio CD.

Step 5

Click the “Add Files to Project” and locate the mp3 files that you want to burn on your system.

Step 6

Click the “Open” button to add an mp3 file to the queue.

Step 7

Repeat the previous step to add multiple mp3 files to burn to the CD.

Step 8

Click the “Burn!” option on the left to convert and burn the mp3 files to the audio CD.

Step 9

Wait for the program to finish burning the CD.

Step 10

Eject the CD from the drive and play it in a standard CD player to verify that the CD was burned successfully.

Tips & Warnings

  • A standard audio CD will hold up to 80 minutes of music.
  • If you go beyond the 80 minute mark on the meter at the bottom of the window you will receive an error message that there is not enough space on the disc.
