How to Convert Vbk to WAV

By Matthew Fortuna

A type of rare audio file used with the CallPilot program, .VBK files are accessible to some programs and systems, but are not nearly as compatible as the similar .WAV file type. These files are used with a number of programs and players, and can be burned to disc with most programs. You can convert your .VBK files to .WAV format in just minutes using iTunes or MusicMatch Jukebox, which can both be downloaded for free.

iTunes

Step 1

Download and install iTunes on your computer and launch the player on your desktop.

Step 2

Drag and drop your .VBK file onto your library and select "Edit">"Preferences">"Import Settings" from the upper main menu.

Step 3

Click "Import Using: WAV Encoder" in the "Import Settings" menu and select "OK."

Step 4

Right-click on your .VBK file in your library and select "Create WAV Version" in the pop-up menu. Allow the new version to load into your iTunes library just below the original .VBK version.

MusicMatch Jukebox

Step 1

Launch the player on your desktop after installing it from the official website.

Step 2

Select "File">"Options">"Convert" from the upper menu.

Step 3

Select your .VBK file from the "Source Directory" window and enter "VBK" into the "Source Data Type" line.

Step 4

Select where you would like to send the .WAV version in the "Destination Directory" window and select "WAV" in the "Destination Data Type" menu.

Step 5

Click "Start" and your file will be converted and sent to your selected "Destination" folder.
