How to Copy & Email Texts With an iPhone

Your iPhone comes with a handy copy/paste tool to help you quickly copy text into emails or other applications. This feature allows you to send information quickly without having to re-type it using the small keyboard. To copy and email your text messages, you need to open your texting application and copy the message. You then need to open your mail program and paste it into a new email.

Step 1

Open your texting application on your iPhone. Open the text message thread that contains the text you want to email. Press and hold the text message until the "Copy" button appears. Press the "Copy" button.

Step 2

Press the "Home" button to return to your home screen.

Step 3

Open your email application. Choose the inbox you want to send your email from.

Step 4

Create a new email message. Press the icon in the bottom right corner of the inbox screen. Enter the recipient into your "To:" field. Enter a subject into the "Subject:" field.

Step 5

Press and hold your finger in the body of the main email message until a large magnification circle appears. Release your finger. Press the "Paste" button when it appears.

Step 6

Press the "Send" button to send your email.
