How to Copy YouTube Videos to DVD for Free
If you want to watch a YouTube video on your home DVD player, you'll first need to download the video to your computer. This is because YouTube videos usually don't stay on your computer's hard drive and instead play only while you have your browser open. The native program Windows Movie Maker can then burn your movie to a blank DVD disc for you for free.
Things You'll Need
- Blank DVD
- DVD Burn drive
Download and install one of the very similar capture programs such as aTube Catcher, YouTube Downloader, or 1-Click YouTube Downloader (see Resources). Input the YouTube address you want into any of these programs and download your YouTube video to your computer.
Click "Start" in Windows and select "Windows Movie Maker" under the "All programs" section.
Insert your blank DVD into your DVD drive. Click "Add item" and double-click the YouTube video from the window that appears.
Click "Next" in the main program screen. Click the "Burn" button to burn the YouTube video to disc.
