How to Create a Mass Email
Sending the same email message to multiple people can get tedious to say the least if you are sending the email to one person at a time. There is a much simpler way to create an email message that one can send to multiple people simultaneously.
Things You'll Need
- Computer with Internet access
- Email client with address or contact lists
- Email message
Create the email in the word processor, because it is much easier to do this way. Type the message as you would in your email system but, by typing it in the word processor, you can check the spelling and grammar as you proceed. Once your mass email message is correctly typed, proceed with the next step.
Open the email system and type in your own address in the TO box. This will send you a copy of the email and it is vital if you choose to send the mass email massage in the way it is described in Step 4.
Open your address book and select the cc option for anyone you wish to send this mass email message too. The cc option means carbon copy, which sends the same mass email message to recipients.
Select the bcc option if you wish to hide the email addresses or recipients from each other for this mass email message. By selecting the blind copy carbon option, the recipients will not know who else the email message was sent to.
Select the email message you typed in the word processor, copy and paste it into your email. Send as you normally would with any email.
Tips & Warnings
- The bcc option safeguards the emails addresses of your friends so they do not get numerous spam messages.
