How to Create a Watermark on a PDF

By Jen Miller

A PDF watermark is image or text that you can add to the background or foreground of your PDF document. You can use watermarks for various purposes, such as marking a document as "Confidential" or branding documents with a corporate name or logo. With Adobe Acrobat, you can insert images or text to use as a watermark. With CutePDF Professional, you can use an image stamp as a watermark. With PDF Watermark Creator, you can insert text as a watermark. Neither Acrobat nor CutePDF Professional are free, but both offer free trial downloads to use for a specific time. PDF Watermark Creator is available as both free and paid versions.
