How to Create Multiple Email Addresses in Gmail
At some point, you might need more than one email address. You might need more privacy, anonymity, or merely a separation between work and home correspondence. Some email providers allow you to have one or a limited amount of email addresses. Other providers may charge a fee for extra addresses or even for your first address. Gmail is a completely free, user-friendly email service that is offered by Google. You can create multiple email addresses for different uses if you have Gmail.
Log out of your Gmail or Google account. If you already have a Google account, you cannot create another one while you are logged into it.
Visit the main Gmail website, http://mail.google.com.
Click on the “Create an account” button.
Provide the information as requested by the Google website. This information will include your name and desired login ID. The login you choose will be your new e-mail address. For example, if you choose JohnDoe, your address will be JohnDoe@gmail.com.
Tips & Warnings
- Keep track of your passwords for each e-mail address. If you forget your password, Google will require that you answer a security question that you chose when you signed up for the account. Make sure that the question has an answer that will be easy for you to remember.
