Websites are very useful for both personal and commercial use. Prices for creating your own URL can be very high, though. However, there are actually quite a few options for creating websites for free. Free URL providers may not offer quite as many features as paid hosts but, for many people, it is all that is necessary.
Visit Webs.com (see resource) and scroll down the page to the “Discover what you can do on Webs” section. Once there, click on “Learn More.”
Explore the features of Webs. Read the page and decide if the features provided will fit your needs. If you have any questions, click on the “FAQ & Help” link on the right side of the screen. Read the Q & A and if you still have questions, use the “Contact Us” link to e-mail Webs customer service. This link is located on the right side at the very bottom of the screen.
Sign up for your free URL. Go back to the main page (resource #1) and enter your desired site address and a password. When done, press the green “Create a Website” button. This will take you to a page where you will enter the rest of your site details and select your template. Read the terms of service (located at the bottom of the screen) and when ready, press the green “Create my Site” button. Follow the onscreen prompts for finishing the creation of your free URL.
