How to Deactivate a Virgin Mobile Account

By Hal Bartle

Virgin Mobile is a mobile phone service provider that offers monthly services as opposed to the yearly contracts offered by other mobile phone service providers. A month-to-month mobile phone service is an option for people who do not use a mobile phone often or who do not want to be locked into a yearly contract. If you have a Virgin Mobile account, but you want to switch mobile phone service providers or no longer want a cell phone, you must deactivate your account by canceling it.

Step 1

Navigate to the Virgin Mobile website to obtain the customer service contact information.

Step 2

Contact Virgin Mobile customer service by phone at 888-322-1122. In order to deactivate and cancel your account, you must contact customer service by telephone.

Step 3

Provide your account information and request that your account be canceled and deactivated. You will have to provide your name, address, mobile phone number and your "vKey" account password.

Tips & Warnings

  • When you deactivate and cancel a Virgin Mobile account, you will not be reimbursed for any remaining minutes or text messages associated with your monthly plan.
